I officially registered for my first race of the year. It's a 10K and is next Sunday. The race is the 27th annual Groundhog Run. The event is held in Kansas City, MO at the Hunt Midwest Subtropolis, a former limestone mine that was converted into a commercial/lite industrial underground business park.
The race is completely underground and the temperature in the complex is a steady 60-65 degrees year round. Here is a video from last year's 10K start.
With the race on Sunday, we've rearranged my schedule for the week. So now it goes something like this:
Mon: 3 easy
Tue: 6 easy
Wed: 3 easy
Thr: 6 race pace
Fri: 4 easy
Sat: rest
Sun: 6.2 EVENT
