Saturday morning I had the pleasure of participating in the 3rd annual Trek up the Tower at the First National Tower here in Omaha.
40 floors, 870 steps, 633 feet into the sky.
This was the first time for me at this event. Short of some council from a trusted advisor, I didn't really now what to expect. The one description that stuck in my mind the day prior to the event was related to how much this race would tax my lungs. If I wouldn't have been forewarned about that I might have just sat down and gave up on about floor 30 out of fear my chest was going to collapse.
Saturday: 2.2 mile run/warm-up. Trek up the Tower: 30th overall, 6:10, 182bpm average heart rate.
