First run on ice and snow

So with some pretty pleasant temperatures in the forecast for today and the new Garmin to road test I headed out for a long 12+ miler on the ice, slush and snow. This was my first run of any significance on these road conditions. It made for quite a bit slower of a pace, but the run felt good none the less. About 80%-90% of the run was on snow/ice/slush covered pavement.

The Garmin lived up to, if not exceeded, my expectations. And the amount of data is provides when uploaded to the computer is outstanding.

Friday: 12.53 miles, 9:45 minutes/mile average pace and 157bpm average HR on snow/ice/slush. Left home before lunch headed all the way around Zorinsky and back.
